The Forest Trail project was a complex but familiar load‑bearing wall removal for our team. The homeowners wanted a fully open main floor but were unsure whether it was even possible to remove the existing wall without leaving any posts on the main floor. The solution was to design and install a T‑shaped steel structure capable of transferring all loads sideways directly to the foundation.

Structural Solution

To achieve a post‑free open space, we installed three structural steel beams, reinforced the existing basement beams, poured a new concrete footing, and added a custom‑made steel post in the basement to complete the load path. This configuration allowed the entire main floor to be opened without any visible structural interruptions.

After completing our standard paperwork package — contract, structural drawings, building permit, and Certificate of Liability Insurance — our installation crew began the work. The full implementation took approximately one week, including on‑site licensed welding to complete the T‑shaped beam system and ensure perfect alignment.
